Dead Animal Under a House, Deck or Crawl Space
Once an animal has gone underneath something, the job stops being about the animal and starts being about access. That is the honest framing, and it is why nobody sensible quotes this over the internet.

Where the limit is
Anything that needs finished construction taken apart to reach. If the only way to the animal is through drywall, a ceiling or a sealed floor, that is not a removal job and we will tell you so rather than sell it.
Florida's building stock helps here more than people expect. Slab-on-grade construction is the norm across much of the state, which means fewer of the deep basements and full crawl spaces that make this work awkward further north, and more animals ending up under decks, under skirting and inside screen enclosures. Those are usually openable without cutting anything.
How a call goes
- You describe the structure: a deck, skirting, a crawl hatch, a lanai. That tells us more than the species does.
- We ask whether you can see it, smell it, or only suspect it, because the three lead to very different visits.
- We check whether an independent operator is available for your address. No coverage is confirmed in Florida yet, so this is a real question and not a formality.
- The operator establishes what can be opened without damage, reaches the animal if it can be reached, removes and disposes of it, and treats the ground it was lying on.

Will anyone go into a crawl space for a dead animal?
An operator can, where there is a hatch or a vent large enough and the space is safe to enter. Whether a given operator does that work is confirmed on the call rather than promised here, because it varies by operator and by the space.
Does the deck have to come apart?
Usually not. Most deck recoveries are done through an existing gap, a lattice panel that unscrews, or a board lifted and put back. If a deck genuinely has to be dismantled, that is a carpentry decision for you to make rather than something to be started without asking.
It is under my mobile home behind the skirting. Is that doable?
Often, yes, because skirting is usually designed to come away. That is one of the more straightforward versions of this job, and it is common in Florida given how much manufactured housing the state has.
How do I know it is even under there?
Flies concentrating at a vent or a gap, a smell that is stronger outside near the structure than inside the house, and the neighborhood cats taking an unusual interest are the ordinary signs. If you are not sure, say so on the call, because looking for a source is a different visit from removing one you have already found.
